MEDICAL MALPRACTICE COLLECTIONS CASE SETTLES IN TRIAL BEFORE JURY SELECTED

Written by Spencer Aronfeld on . Posted in Medical Malpractice

After spending the weekend preparing for the Gelbard v. Dominguez trial, and just seconds before jury selection began, this case resolved in the Judge Genden’s court room.

Some judges do not get involved in resolving cases. Others do. Judge Genden took a proactive role in getting these two parties together. I think that if a settlement can be made, it almost always serves all parties. The expense, and uncertainty of a trial and an the inevitable appeal can be avoided.

Thankfully, this Judge got involved and got it done.
